Nashville Dining : Best Dinner Spots
If you plan to visit Nashville, you better come with a big appetite! The Nashville restaurant scene is booming and full of amazing options for the self-proclaimed “foodies” and Instagrammers, alike. Although it was tough to narrow down the options, we have compiled a list of some of our favorite dinner spots in town to help you choose. (You may have to come back to try them all!)
Located on the 34th floor of the JW Marriott, Bourbon Steak offers 360 degree views of the Nashville skyline. The menu features a sophisticated take on American steakhouse classics made with the finest cuts of beef, pork, and lamb. If red meat is not your thing, no worries! There are several fresh seafood options as well. Accompanied with a view that cannot be beat, you can relax and indulge at this top notch (and top floor) Nashville hot spot!
Chauhan Ale & Masala House
Hours: Daily 5-10pm
Chauhan is not the typical Indian restaurant. Set in a refurbished brick garage in the North Gulch, this vibrant eatery combines traditional Indian dishes with a Southern twist. Chauhan has become a favorite amongst locals and tourists alike and is a recognized leader in the industry. Owner and Executive Chef, Maneet Chauhan, has been featured on several popular cooking shows and knows the way to people's heart is through their stomach. If you love Indian cuisine or haven’t yet tried it, Chauhan is the place to go!
House of Cards
Hours: Opening for dinner at 6:00pm Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday, 5:00pm Friday & Saturday; Family Brunch: Sunday 10:00am-3:00pm
Located under the Johnny Cash Museum in SoBro, House of Cards offers a (literal) magical dining and drinking experience. From the secret tunnel entry to the grand decor, you won't find a restaurant like this anywhere else in the South. HOC celebrates the art of magic, classic American cuisine, and fine hand-crafted cocktails under one roof. Guests are encouraged to explore the dining room to be entertained by some of America’s top magicians who are stationed throughout the venue all evening long. Keep in mind, House of Cards is 21 & up, with the exception of Sunday family events. And be sure to check out the dress code!
Kayne Prime Steakhouse
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 5pm-11pm
Part of the exclusive M Street group, Kayne Prime is described as an “artful fusion of a chef-chic boutique restaurant with a great American steakhouse”. Kayne features an expansive wine menu and artistic craft libations. The very stylish space features numerous bar and lounge areas where guests may enjoy the full dining experience. This steak dinner is not to be missed! We recommend making your reservation ASAP (and trying everything on the menu)!
Hours: Monday-Thursday 4pm-11pm, Friday 11am-11pm, Saturday 10am-11pm, Sunday 10am-4pm
Also part of the M Street restaurant group, Saint Anejo offers a premiere Mexican cuisine and a premium selection of tequila. The menu showcases creative tacos, house-made guacamole, and regionally influenced chef specialties. Convertible windows open the entire space out to McGavock Street, and an elevated large patio with a bar makes for quite the hip hangout spot. You cannot make reservations at Saint Anejo so hurry up and get your name on the list!
The Catbird Seat
Hours: Wednesday-Saturday, 5:30-9pm
The Catbird Seat offers a one of a kind, interactive 10-12 course dinner experience. The counter at The Catbird Seat provides guests the opportunity to view the inner workings of an active kitchen. The menu includes distinct flavors which embrace the fresh and local, while also taking a spin around the world. The unique dishes are sure to keep your taste buds entertained! But with only 22 seats at the U shaped counter, you better make your reservations now (or yesterday!).

Located in the popular 12th South community, Urban Grub gives a relaxed vibe to upscale dining. The indoor/outdoor bar seating is perfect for a casual night out. And the main dining room has a more formal feel if you’re celebrating a special occasion. With a fresh selection of oysters and seafood, aged prime meats and sides, the menu gives you plenty of delicious options to choose from. We highly recommend the double cut pork chops! Reserve your seat at this Nashville fave.

As one of the longest standing restaurants in town, Virago is Nashville's premier Asian fusion and sushi restaurant. With a more cosmopolitan, yet edgier design, Virago’s new space includes a seductive interior with secluded booths and private dining rooms. With a focus on an energetic, late night lounge scene, you'll want to hang out at Virago even when dinner is over. If you love sushi, sake, and delicious cocktails, Virago may be your new favorite!
